With Winbox3, has no effect on the terminal panel. I might be pleased if +w experienced no effect on the terminal panel in Winbox4 in the exact same way (properly, ideally It might be rather then +w, but when it has to change, it's to vary) - a minimum of the behaviour could well be reliable bet
